Y3/4 Trip to 'The Foundry Climbing Wall'

Miss Parsons' class had a fantastic experience on the indoor climbing wall on Thursday 26th June. We all had a 2 1/2 hour climbing lesson.

Maths Problem Solving Days

Next week we have 'The Problem Solving Team' in school. Every child from Reception upwards will have the opportunity to take part in maths problems during Monday and Tuesday  23rd and 24th June.

New Reception Children September 2014

Diary Dates

 

Tuesday 3rd June - Parent's information session, 9.15am in the infant hall. There will be a short presentation for parents and a chance to meet staff and ask questions. You will be given an information pack and a reading book as a welcome gift to share with your child at home.

 

Thursday 5th June - You are invited to drop with your child anytime between 3.30pm and 5.30pm to look around the classroom and outdoor areas together and chat to staff.

 

Wednesday 11th, 18th & 25th June - Transition afternoons, for children from other settings, there is an opportunity for you to accompany your child to the foundation base to stay and play with them from 1.30pm - 2.30pm. (Children attending Anns Grove Nursery will already have visited and met the teachers). This is an opportunity for your child to explore the learning environment with our staff and meet other children who will be in their class in September.

 

Wednesday 2nd July - All children should arrive at school at 11.45am in time for school lunch. You will be able to order a school lunch or bring your own packed lunch on the day. Children will then stay in their new classes and enjoy the afternoon with their new teachers. Please collect your child at 3pm from the reception base.

 

Wednesday 9th July - "Chatterbags Workshop" A great stay and play workshop for children who are new to Anns Grove 1.30pm - 3pm.

 

Starting School - Children will either start school on Tuesday 2nd September or Wednesday 3rd September, (you will be notified nearer the time, the time and date and their class teacher).

 

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - Children will stay for lunch and be collected from the base at 12.45pm.

 

Friday 5th September - All children will be in school for the full day. 8.40am to 3.15pm.

Anns Grove P.T.A needs you!
The next meeting for the Anns Grove PTA will be held  a coffee morning on Wednesday 30th April in  the dining room at 9.00am.


Parent Governor
We are currently trying to recruit Parent Governors for the schools Governing Body. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the life of the school and your child's education. If you are interested please speak to Mrs Stones who will be able to discuss the role and its duties.
